DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION
Digital illustration is my favorite medium for my personal artwork. Here are a few examples of small projects and personal pieces I'm particularly proud of.

Pretty Money
Pretty Money is a Chicago-based pop-up bar that donates a percentage of its profits to charities that benefit sex workers. They asked me to design a t-shirt they could sell at their pop-ups to help spread awareness of their brand, as well as their cause.
I didn't design the Pretty Money wordmark, but I did everything else for the shirt. The Mandala I did for Gold Point was so successful that I wanted to do another one, and Pretty Money sold out of these shirts!

Gold Point
Gold Point is a bar in the RiNo Arts district of Denver with an excellent patio. When the owner's bought the patio space, the city made them promise to grow a pollinator garden in order to add beauty to the neighborhood. Thus, the Gold Point Garden Club was born.
I was asked to design a t-shirt to commemorate the Garden Club, with a couple clementines hidden somewhere as a nod to one of the owners who was expecting twins.
I went with a folk-art inspired mandala, featuring different bar tools, beer caps, bottles, and glassware.

Family Values
Family Values (named after the nü-metal concert tour from the ‘90s-00s) is a bi-annual, sober-inclusive community building event for the Denver service industry. The goal is to create a fun and safe space for people who work in bars/restaurants to make solid connections outside of drinking and networking.
What I did: Posters, branding, stickers, t-shirts
For the first event, I was shown the original Family Values poster from 1998 and told to copy it as closely as I could, while editing the illustration to make it more relevant. I illustrated a t-shirt as well- it sold out!
For the second event, I took the same layout and style but drew the skeleton and sleepy woman to go with the pajama party theme.
I came up with the slogans "Mile High Life" and Denver Bars Against The World and recreated the Miller High Life logo with them for the t-shirt and sticker. Miller High Life is very popular in the industry, so I knew people would be stoked on this twist.
"Stop networking and make a f*cking friend" and "If people can't have fun at your event sober... it's probably just not all that fun" are posters I made to underscore the brands mission. I.e... Family Values events are supposed to be fun no matter what! Unlike other industry events, you're supposed to make real connections through shared experience, not hand out business cards.

Occidental
Occidental (Ox) is a punk-rock cocktail bar in Denver that has recently become known as a sports-haven for fans of New York teams. Ox is also one of the flag ship industry bars in Denver-- my job was to bring these two stories together into a design that bartenders and Rangers fans would be proud to wear.
I wanted this shirt to remind the wearer that when they're at Ox, they're home. The bar's motto, "We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war", a Bukowski quote, is written on one of the ceiling beams. It was one of the first things I noticed on my first visit and I knew it had to be on the shirt!
Some special touches:
- The three tears and sewn up heart are dedicated to people affiliated with Ox who have been lost over the years.
- Red & Blue border, the colors of the NY Giants & NY Rangers
- 201, the area code of New Jersey, where the owners are from.
- 303, the Denver zip code crossed with Ox, to show that they're a part of each other.
-NGGYUNGLYD... well, thats a Rick Roll.

The Hustle
The Hustle is the only bartending competition that encompasses all aspects of bartending- drinks, speed, and vibes. The bracket-style comp was designed by industry legend Sean Kenyon, and sponsored by Woody Creek distillers.
What I did: Branding, Posters, Motion Graphics, & T-Shirt
Previous iterations of the competition had used a muted '70s vibe. Sean asked me to make the new brand a bit grittier and more relatable. The look I went with was inspired by early-2000s movie posters for films like Crash, Crank, and The Matrix.

AFTERS
Afters is a streetwear and events brand inspired by my love for Denver's service industry. The goal is to create reasons to bring everyone together to celebrate each other and strengthen our sweet lil' community. Following their first event, Afters was rebranded as Family Values.

Pony Up Design 2
DESIGN 2
The soul of Pony Up, a cocktail bar in Denver, CO, is rooted in craft and speed. Pony Up is a popular industry bar, known for its fun and appealing craft cocktails served without the air of pretense often found at other bars of its caliber. To celebrate Pony's four-year anniversary we decided to do a brand & merchandise refresh with two designs: something cool and eclectic that pays homage to Pony Up's legacy and unique decor (previous slide) as well as an edgier design to honor the alternative vibes of Denver's close-knit service industry (below).
Both designs are composed of inside jokes & references (like playing Cash in Cash Out by Pharell at last call) that are entirely unique to Pony Up and the people who make it special.

Rebel Italy
Imagine if your local anarchist bookstore opened an incredible pasta shop where people could come to meet, learn, discuss, and eat!
Rebel Italy is a fresh pasta and authentic Italian food concept inspired by Italy's underground anti-fascist resistance during WW2.
The black logos are inspired by the flag of the Giustizia e Libertà, an Italian anti-fascist resistance movement that was active during the war.

Frenemies Pop-Ups & Stuff
The Frenemies Pop-Up Group is run by two professional bartenders who are also best friends as well as completely different personalities. They wanted to do a play on their working relationship with some quirky branding and a distinguished logo, i.e. "Like a PG-13 Tom & Jerry comic strip but with teacups". The teacups are hand-drawn by me. I also designed a poster for their inaugural pop-up "The Tea-Ki Room".

Side Pony
The team at Side Pony wanted a playful, feminine, yet minimal logo to inspire the branding for their new coffee and cocktail concept. We went through a few different shades of pink before landing on a sweet, peachy blush. They even made the logo into a neon sign which was so dope!
